London was sweet!

Not to be outdone by my wife’s drive to communicate… I too shall write a post. Actually, I don’t mind at all if she fills up our ‘recent posts’ section with her musings because people really seem to love them. I wouldn’t say that I’m jealous of her talent to write, but I definitely want to glean what I can from the writing style that she wields.
LondonAnyway, that being said, here’s what’s going on. The trip to England was amazing on so many different fronts. For one, I feel like God really confirmed to us what we had suspected our next step would be–that is to move to Glasgow (Paisley), Scotland, which is where Rachel’s newly married sister will be living with her Aussie husband, Nathaniel. Previous to this trip, I didn’t really have any insight into what we would do there if we did move there and so a huge prayer request of ours was for the Lord to confirm it if this is where we should go. Well, he did that by landing us smack dab in the middle of a really cool thing that God is doing amidst a movement of churches. I won’t get excessive about the details of these churches but, we were able to meet the leaders of the church in Glasgow (who happened to be in London [Chelmsford] when we were) and to meet with the leader of the movement as well!
Now, for all you who are wondering what we would do with a church like that, or what kind of position we would fill… we have no idea, and didn’t discuss anything like that. I’m sure that God will let us know when the time comes just how we can serve there, but the point is that it was really energizing being there and seeing what God is doing amongst them. A strong desire to be a part of it rose up within me and I think I know where that desire originated!
So, in a nutshell, that is one really cool thing that happened in London, which my wife has reminded me is not London, but rather Chelmsford–it’s own unique place just outside of London. And, while I’m on the subject… it’s not Glasgow either! It’s Paisley. And Paisley happens to be to Glasgow, what Chelmsford is to London. Anyway, I wouldn’t even be able to do a summary of our trip justice if I did not mention the enormous graciousness that was shown to us by the church family in London, er… Chelmsford. We got there and were picked up by Jessica and Nathaniel who went out of their way to accomodate our small family many times. Then we had one family lend us a car seat, one family lend us a stroller and baby seat, and one family even lent us a car. But, to top it all off, we received grace upon grace from our hosts, the Tullochs (Graham, Allison, and Ross). They fed us and truly made their home our own and did not stop showering us with love the whole time. It was truly an amazing show of the grace of God, and the manifestation of the Word of God!
So, that was London! So, now I am back to work with renewed vigor. And, as I was going about today and planning my next months here at CBN India, a really cool door opened for me to serve here. But, I’ll know more about it tomorrow, so.. I’ll write more then. Till then… I love you all and am excited about the fact that God is alive, and not at all threatened by evil!
Blessings… more tomorrow!
In Christ,

hey john, it’s so exciting to hear how much you seemed to have enjoyed your time in england… it was such a joy to have your whole little family there to see and spend time with and share our wedding day with. your excitement is contagious, even in writing, and makes me anticipate the move to scotland even more. bless you, my big brother! and see you again some day soon.
