Exciting finance update!

Hey everyone,
I am very excited to anounce that we are at 96% of our monthly budget pledged! This is crazy. I mean, it’s shouldn’t be knowing that God is the God who does the impossible but, none the less, when He works these things out in a way that I could never see coming, I can’t help but stand in awe. He knew the whole time where the money was going to come from and when it was going to come- why was I nervous?
So, here is what happened. A friend who I haven’t talked to in a long time had expressed an interest in supporting us. I didn’t want to put too much stock in it in case it didn’t work out. But, as we talked to him and worked out the details, he decided that he would like to tithe to us while we will be there (as he is working overseas and doesn’t have a regular church there). The pledge, works out to $600 a month and brings us right up to where we need to be monthly. We could have never forseen this, but God knew what He was doing. We kept saying that God could do it, but, we did start to wonder if He really wanted us to go in late Jan. Well, this for us, is a confirmation that once again, He will provide, no matter how late in the game!
Very cool, right? Anyway, we still have are start up costs to go, but, He’ll do it!
Anyway, think about this… I was all rejoicing Him and thanking Him for His faithfulness and He spoke to me. It’s like when Jesus held up the coin to Peter and said, “whose face is on this coin”. He spoke to me and said, “where did this dollar come from?” The answer was, “well the treasury’s, or the government’s” And, I was reminded of the psalm (82:8) that says that “the nations belong to You” That means that not only is He in control of all of the dollars in the US but, He is also in control of every British Pound, Japanese Yen, Euro, Ruble, Peso and any other currency. And, for Him to give me $830 a month is nothing! $12,000- no problem! Money is nothing to the one who created the heavens and the earth.
But, there is a gift that was costly for Him. That gift was given on the cross. Jesus was so much more costly than anything in that He was the only thing on this earth that remained Good! Jesus Himself said, “There is no one good but God!” He was perfection in human form and everything that He did, perfectly represented the heart of the Father, including the giving of His life as a free gift to make all who would look upon Him righteous. This righteousness can not be earned like dollars and cents. It can not be bought with cash or with good works- it can only be recieved as a gift.
Well, when I thought on this monetary donation that had been offered to me, it was rightfully put in it’s place in the light of the cross. Yes, it is still a generous donation and, yes, we are still excited about it. But, how much more are we excited that our names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life and that we can know Him here and now! This is what we are here for! This is what we live for! Hallelujah,
